Artery Disease is a Damage or disease in the heart's major blood vessels. Artery disease develops when the major blood vessels that supply your heart with blood, oxygen and nutrients become damaged or diseased. The usual cause is the build-up of plaque. This causes coronary arteries to narrow, limiting blood flow to the heart.
